Lizzie asks…

Any good job search sites or known places hiring?

My father is an Electrician and has owned his own general contracting business for 20 years. He is very experienced, and is looking for a well paying job (preferably outside of the United States), but is having trouble locating some. Anyone know good places hiring or good job search sites?

Robin West answers:

He can put his resume up on Monster.Com or CareerBuilders.com and Jobing.com. My husband has his resume on those sites too. :-) Employers will hunt for potentials on those sites and have Recruiters call you to set up interviews etc. Good luck to your dad. :-)

Donald asks…

iam working as a sr.executive secretary in Oman.To get a better job it is worth to pay to any job search sites?

Iam searching for a better job in Gulf countries. Pls advise me can i trust the job sites which are offering some paid services ? Which job site is the best ?

Robin West answers:

Job search is offered free by all the popular job boards… Only for the recruiters who are trying to find the candidates, a charge is involved.

To get a better job, all you need is active searching, networking, impressive resume and confidence..There is always demand for candidates and many people might be searching for you but can’t find you.

Just by using free resources, you should be able to find a better job. Use social media like Linkedin and Twitter to search for jobs, upload your resume to job boards, network with people and update your online profiles about your qualification and professional experience.

There are also premium plans available for job seekers but go for it only if you can’t find a better job using all the free resources.
