I have Bachelor degrees in Spanish and Philosophy but am having trouble finding a job in Orange County.?

I’ve tried all of the normal search engines. I know I am intelligent and hardworking. For the last few years, I have worked as a receptionist. I know this is not using my talent to the fullest degree, however. Any advice on where/how to apply relating to my degrees in Philosophy and Spanish?

Ken asks…

getting a j-1 visa job in orange country?

Hi, i am looking to get a J-1 visa job in and around Orange County (Fullerton, Brea, Anaheim etc) within the Hospitality industry (front desk would be ideal) and am needing help. I have used a J-1 agency but at current haven’t provided me with anything useful. Are their sites I can use or ways to make this happen? I have used and searched the internet endlessly for placements but at current no positive outcomes. Thanks for any help.

Robin West answers:

Like we tell people, sponsorship visas are REALLY hard to come by. Your best bet would be to stick with a J-1 agency, or to possibly go visit the Disney Resort web site: http://disney.go.com/disneycareers/disneyland/
