Anyone have any good job hunting tips?
was diagnosed with a learning disability when I was a young kid and now that i’m an adult it seems to be hindering me in alot of areas. I can’t seem to get the job which leads to feeling good about yourself which leads to the girlfriend which leads to the sex which leads to not being so depressed anymore. I’ve been going to career assessment places, job boards, job counselors, unemployment offices, finding any part time thing I can. Yet I still live at home and i’m 27. If I keep going like this, my head will explode. Anyone have any job hunting tips?

Hey, your doing all the right things and you seem to be on
track. All you need is patience and persaverance. Don’t
worry your day will come you can’t give up! ![]()
Keep on trying, keep on being determined!
It’s tough for everyone to find work. Alot of people
have the same problem, but the key is not to
give up. The part of feeling good about yourself
you should not need employment for that.
I know it does help to feel independant
and stuff but don’t let it define you as your person.
You seem to have a pretty good plan in action
I think it’ just requires a little time.
Have faith and DON’T GIVE UP!
GOOD LUCK

Does anyone have any good job hunting tips for a teen?
hello everyone! I am a 16 year-old girl who is looking for her first job. I want to know if there are any good tips in looking for a job or maybe interview tips. I am very good with people and solving problems. I have applied for a few jobs ( a local camp ground, 2 grocery stores, a restaurant, and even McDonalds) but no luck! i know it is a bad economy, but there have to be some ways to get a job!
Robin West answers:
Along with showing your professional capabilities (dress nicely, be clean)
And your social ones (shake hands, smile, be polite, don’t be nervous)
Show that you’re prepared (know your information, have references etc. On hand)
And responsible (go job hunting by yourself, bring your own pen just in case)
Keep in mind answers to questions that the manager may ask you when handing in your application.
What 5 words would you use to describe yourself?
Why did you pick this business?
How would you be an asset to my team?
Keep in mind that the economy IS pretty horrible right now.
I applied to 30+ businesses and went through 4 interviews before getting my first job a year ago.
Don’t be close minded to seasonal work, right now acquiring a summer job would be enough to give you the upper-hand of experience and make that second, more permanent job much easier to obtain.
Good luck (:

Job hunting tips during this recession?
I have just got out of the worst job of my life! (contract ended).
I am so relieved.
Now I have to face the dreaded job search. Since we are in a recession, I would like to know some tips so I can find a job quicker.
I have a mix of teaching experience, customer support, and IT experience.
I greatly appreciate all your suggestions in advance!
