Is engineer a safe job? Will it be a safe job in the future? (considering from now to 50 years in advance)?
I was researching for more information about my favorite career, engineer.
But from this site: http://www.usnews.com/articles/business/best-careers/2007/12/19/engineer-executive-summary.html
It says One trend to keep an eye on: Employers are offshoring some lower-skill engineering work to low-cost countries like India and China, where there are thousands of bright engineers willing to work for much less than their U.S. counterparts do. For the safest jobs, look for government work.
Now I am starting to feel uneasy about what would happen if i become an engineer in like 10 years.
Right now I’m in grade 10 (16 years old)
Please could you give me an advice?
Thank you
